How to Use the Employee Rota on Excel
Step 1: Set Up Your Employee Rota
- Enter all employee names and shift types in the designated tabs.
- This ensures all selections are available in the drop-down menus.
Step 2: Set the Start Date
- Update the ‘Week Commencing’ date in cell C2 to automatically adjust the rota.
Step 3: Assign Employees to Shifts
- Select employees from the drop-down list in the ‘Employees’ column.
- (Optional) Update staff roles if required or leave blank for general use.
Step 4: Assign Shifts Efficiently
- Click on any day of the week next to an employee’s name.
- Choose the appropriate shift from the drop-down menu.
- Mark non-working days with ‘Off‘.
- The total hours per employee will be calculated automatically!
